Welcome to Protect Rural Placer.

This is a place where longtime residents and newcomers to Placer County work together to preserve our agricultural heritage, abundant wildlife, and rural lifestyle.  We aim to protect the pristine oak woodlands and sweeping grasslands for which our area is known. Placer County is now a step closer to reducing AG zoned land, removing rare Blue Oak Savannas, and destroying wildlife habitat to expand the Hidden Falls Regional Park by 2,700 acres by disguising it as environmental preservation.

Please browse our site to discover why residents of must stand up to creeping urbanization and destruction of one of the last agricultural and ranching communities and fragile landscapes in Placer County.
